Engineering Design
Our design capabilities allow us to cater to the detail engineering requirements of high-volume consumer product development projects, and the associated production work such as tool design. Our engineering resources mean we have the ability to undertake high-performance engineering design and manufacturing projects also.
3D CAD Services
We undertake component, assembly and tool design for a number of companies, and across many different sectors of engineering, working in 3D solid and surface modelling techniques. Our design office employs workstations running PTC Pro-E Wildfire™ software to provide a fully integrated CAD/CAM/CAE solution for our design, analysis and manufacturing processes. We are able to work with, or provide native Pro-E data formats, and all industry standard formats for models and drawings, .step, .dxf, etc.
2D Drawings
We are able to provide and work from technical drawings for a range of engineering project types, to a range of scales of mechanical assembly. All our engineers and systems work to BS8888 standards, and we are able to produce hard-copy plots up to A0 scale.
FE Analysis
Our use of Pro-E Wildfire Mechanica™ for structural analysis allows us to fully analyse and optimise our designs in an integrated CAE environment, with results verification from our in-house testing and development facilities.
Moldflow Analysis
With our injection moulding capabilities and production engineering expertise, we employ AutoDesk MoldFlow™ to optimise our polymer product quality and enhance our virtual prototyping capabilities. Usage of such analysis tools allows us to investigate the effectiveness of feed point-possibilities, check for moulding problems and predict component distortion at the component design stage, to ultimately allow us to produce a high quality product, which can reach the market faster. We are able to offer such analysis to all our customers as part of our moulded component design process, for any scale of production and project scope, or as a stand-alone analysis services as part of an existing integrated development program.
